Roskilde Festival Urban Design Toolkit
Roskilde Festival hired Fundament to work with the Roskilde Festival Plan og Rum team to create an urban design toolkit. The toolkit provides guidance for the design of spaces, routes, and neighborhoods within the temporary city of over 130,000 people that emerges during the festival days. The material created by Fundament is tailored to support a co-creation process that happens yearly with over 3000 volunteers, as well as an iterative process of testing and refining the design of routes, spaces, and networks year-to-year. The philosophy and approach of the toolkit draws inspiration from the study of public life and spaces advanced by Danish architect and urbanist Jan Gehl. Download a full copy of the toolkit here.
